Lawrence is a vast music collector and a hobbyist DJ.
Lawrence was born and raised in Kampala – Uganda East Africa. He started collecting and playing music as early as high school, throughout college and continued to follow his passion of sharing experiences through music.

Lawrence was inspired and trained as a young DJ at the age of 15 by DJ Hanny B (Hannington Mukwaya) of SM Sounds (by then a household name in the Mobile Disco entertainment industry in Uganda) He continued to Play music and interact with several DJs and artistes throughout high school, college and more.

Lawrence has a soft spot for Old-school music, classics, oldies, Jazz, Afro beats, RnB and Dance hall.
Later in life Lawrence moved and he is now located in Chicago area IL USA. (Northwestern Suburbs)
Together with other friends, they formed the AFROBASE CREW CHICAGO an umbrella entertainment event entity of DJs, Photographers, event Planners, caterers, decorators and more …. That serve the great Chicago area and states around the Midwest.

AfroBasse Chicago/DJLawrence LLC is now fully a registered, insured and licensed DJ Company in the state of Illionois.

Lawrence is also the CEO and Director of DJ LAWRENCE SERVICES LLC (a registered / insured) Sound & Lighting company) that does weddings, anniversaries, club events, birthdays, graduations and more. {BOOKINGS +1-815-219-1608
