SynthForce was established in 2009, though drum and bass really started to kick off at the back of 2012, with tracks such as “Space Game” and “Far From Here”. However, his iconic tracks were “Stay with me Tonight” “Hear You Calling” (Both with DJ Ransome) and his solo track “Music Takes me Places” were released by Underdog Trax and LW Recordings in December 2012 and April 2013.

Other commitments started to hinder the time spent on music production, however, after a major learning curve with production techniques, the end of 2013, start of 2014 was his break-through, with tracks such as “The Quest Continues” “From Jupiter to Mars” and “The Thing”. Whilst unreleased, these tracks received positive criticism from friends and DJs alike, proving to be go-to tracks for mixing. “From Jupiter to Mars” was also the first track of his to be played by BBC Radio Cambridgeshire on BBC Introducing on the 5th October 2013. This was further reinforced with an unofficial revamp of the Oblivion Theme, giving it a DJ-Friendly structure whilst adding something different.

It was 2013 that SynthForce also started his hand in DJing, becoming an official Mixify member in November 2013. To this day, SynthForce still occasionally spins on Mixify, although 2014 was the peak for his DJing on the site.
Again, other commitments meant that SynthForce had a dry spell for a few months (Production and DJing) before writing 2 tracks “Through the Garden” and “Dreaming Waterfall”. “Through the Garden” is a popular track on BBC Introducing, being played multiple times and still gets the occasional play nowadays. Both tracks were self-released on 21st September 2015 on his hearthis.at account.

Most of his friends argue that SynthForce’s real break-through was in 2015, with remixes such as Bass Action - 911, Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. (With DJ Ransome) and Deadmaus’ “Faxing Berlin”. SynthForce armed himself with originals such as “Warped Space” “Unexpected Pleasures of Life” “Lost in the Rain” and VIPs such as The Thing and Grubby Mitts (Feat. The Brickenden DJs) which saw him on Inna Rhythm Recordings.

Still today, after a major life change in summer 2015, SynthForce continues to focus on Drum & Bass, whether it’s remixes, originals or reworks. He aims to give the listener a pleasant experience whilst setting himself goals to become more known and greater connected to the Drum & Bass world. There will always be one more track under his sleeve!
