Deanna Rayne is a 24 year old singer/songwriter from Port Moody BC. She is currently collaborating with songwriter Faron Andrei, and recording her new songs with producer Jeff Neill. She is also studying vocals with the renowned Sandi Siemens, who’s mentoring has been instrumental to the success of great singers such as Michael Buble.

Deanna’s background is in theatre and acting and that experience has led to her love of music and storytelling. In her own words, “I really believe that a voice and a guitar has the ability to move people; there are few greater joys in life than playing live music.” Her style is a throwback to the legends of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s that she grew up listening to in her family home, and she brings that timeless musical period into the present with her own contemporary style.
Her roots are in the Great American Songbook, and her songwriting reflects many of those traditional musical genres from the past century.

Deanna’s musical influences include the legendary Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James along with more modern contemporaries like Adele, Nora Jones, Diana Krall and k.d. lang. Her thoughtful lyrics offer up a sage wisdom and emotional maturity that belies her age, and her gift of melody and depth of feeling in her delivery display a true passion and respect for the craft of songwriting. She sings with an understated authority that is welcoming and invites you to sing along with her. The future is very promising for this most talented young woman whose real life persona also reflects the quality and wisdom that she brings to her music.
