Nicolas (aka MINDCRAFT) made his first steps in music at the age of 5 by discovering the piano as an autodidact and experienced alone, jazz, blues and trained himself to reproduce what he liked to listen. At the age of 9 years, he studied piano and keyboards.

An attraction also in his early years brought him a taste of electronic music and trippy melodies. In addition he loves to listen to Kitaro, Anne Clark, Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield and Depeche Mode encouraging a natural skill of mixing electronic music with other musical styles.

In 1995, whilst watching a broadcast on French Television, Nicolas discovered Goa and Psychedelic trance where shortly after he decided to give up his music lessons to devote himself completely to this style of music. He sold his old electronic organ to buy his first synthesizer ( a Korg M1) and later on, some analogue synthesizers to produce his own sounds.
Thanks to the computer he began composing his own music influenced by TOTAL ECLIPSE, ASTRAL PROJECTION, PRANA, KEN ISHII, SYSTEM7, HALLUCINOGEN and many others

More recently, using the name “RisingHigh”, Nicolas has gone on to make covers of TOTAL ECLIPSE’S “Virtual Terminal Energised” and “Blue Galaxy” from the album “Violent Relaxation”.
