Augustine Leudar

Ireland

Augustine Leudar is a multidisciplinary audio-visual artist who specialises in spatial audio and Interactive 3D sound. He creates 3d soundart, audio holograms, , sonic illusions and immersive installations that surprise, mislead, and delight audiences.
New Album: "A Tale of Two Forests" is an album of binaural sound, so must be listened to on headphones. It tells the tale of two forests my journey between two forests, the temperate forests of the Uk and Ireland and the tropical forests of the South American Amazon where I lived for several years and took many sound recordings. Some of these tracks have been adapted from 3D sound art installations I've delivered over the last ten years. Because of Lockdown, I decided to make a 3D audio experience that people could have at home using headphones
There are many "Sonic easter eggs" hidden within this album - some of which even I haven't discovered yet. The album was funded by the Irish Arts Council, as part of the Covid Award via their Music Department.
