Music and sounds of Dj Mikee

I’m Mike, born in Belgium in 1974.
I started my musical career at the age of 10 with vocals and piano lessons. Later I moved on to drums and keyboards.
In the 80s I began playing with cassettes and a tape recorder, under the influence of Newbeat and Acid. Early 90s I bought my first Pioneers and professional turntables. Trance became my speciality, soon followed by Underground and UK Trance. I played about anything but the commercial tracks. This gave me the opportunity to prove myself in several local afterclubs.
After this period I got settled and started a family.
But as you all know… you can’t lose the music microbe. In 2015 I decided to start playing again. Techno was my favourite style and the results were quiet well. I prefer Melodic Techno and Techno with “a great drive”. Meanwhile my “This is Techno” series are regularly played on Techno Live Sets.
Currently I’m rather active on the internet, but I hope for more. Just like my idols, Sven Väth, Carl Cox and Pan Pot I would like to do my thing on festivals and in clubs. It would be great to entertain people and to share the style I like so much.
I’m very proud to announce that I’m one of the 400 resident DJs of Fnoobtechno.com Fnoob Techno . I hope this gives me some more publicity and opportunities within the techno scene.
Recently I also discovered producing. It’s still in an early stage, but I’m eager for more.
