Cosmic Girl discovered her passion for trance in 1994, when she moved to Germany from Sweden, where she was born and raised. Every weekend she went clubbing in Hamburg, not only to dance, but also to watch the DJs playing. That was when she felt that she wanted to be in their place - up there in front of the audience. She wanted to show everyone how much she loves the music!

1997 she bought two Technics 1210MK2 turntables and a simple two line mixer and started practicing mixing vinyl records in her small flat, in order to make her dream - to become a DJ - come true . 1998, she got the chance for the first time to play to an audience. One of the first locations where she played, was the Tunnel Trance Force Club in Hamburg, where she became a resident, playing hardtrance, hardcore and house. After this, she had several regular gigs and resident jobs in various venues all over Germany.

The first few years, she played vinyl records by passion. But like most of the DJs, she had to realise that she had to keep up with the times and instead change to digital DJing. Her DJ equipment now consists of two Pioneer CDJs, a Pioneer DJM mixer, USB sticks and CDs. Nowadays, she sees the benefits of not having to carry heavy vinyl records anymore and of being able to bring a much wider selection of tracks with her to the gigs, all fitting on two tiny USB-sticks.

Her love for so many different genres and subgenres enables her to be flexible when it comes to what music style to play. When playing to a crowd, she looks for the reaction of the audience with the aim to adapt the music style to the crowd’s preferences, whenever possible and suitable.

After a DJing break in 2013, she finally got back to music in 2019, which she is very happy about. Her next goal is to start producing, as she has many ideas that she would like to share with all trance fans. To take this next step, she just bought her first equipment for a small home studio and started to take lessons on Ableton Live 10.

Cosmic Girl entdeckte ihre Leidenschaft für Trance, als sie 1994 nach Deutschland aus Schweden zog, wo sie gebürtig herkommt. Jedes Wochenende besuchte sie Clubs, nicht nur um zu tanzen, sondern auch um sich anzuschauen, wie die DJs auflegten. Dabei wünschte sie sich, dass sie an deren Stelle wäre - dort oben vor dem Publikum. Sie wollte allen zeigen, wie sehr sie die Musik liebt!

1997 kaufte sie zwei Technics 1210MK2 Plattenspieler und fing an zu üben, wie man mit Vinyl mixt, um ihren Traum zu verwirklichen und DJ zu werden. 1998 bekam sie das erste Mal die Chance vor Publikum zu spielen. Einer der ersten Clubs war der Tunnel Trance Force Club in Hamburg, wo sie als Resident Hardtrance, Hardcore und House spielte, damals unter dem Pseudonym DJane Carina. Danach hatte sie bis zu ihrer DJ-Pause 2013 zahlreiche regelmäßige Auftritte und Resident-Jobs in vielen Locations deutschlandweit.

Die ersten Jahre spielte sie ganz klassisch Vinyl. Aber wie die meisten DJs musste sie irgendwann mit der Zeit gehen und auf digitales DJing umsteigen. Heute besteht ihr DJ-Equipment aus zwei Pioneer CDJs, einem Pioneer DJM Mischpult und USB-Sticks als Tonträger. Mittlerweile sieht sie die Vorteile dabei, keine Platten mehr schleppen zu müssen und viel mehr Auswahl an Musik mitnehmen zu können.

Nach einer DJ-Pause 2013, konnte sie 2019 endlich wieder mit der Musik anfangen, worüber sie sehr glücklich ist. Ihr nächstes Ziel ist es, mit der Musikproduktion anzufangen, denn Ideen hat sie viele, die sie gern mit allen Trance Fans teilen möchte. Um diesen nächsten Schritt zu wagen, hat sie gerade ihr erstes Equipment für ein kleines Home-Studio gekauft und angefangen an verschiedenen Ableton Live 10 Kursen teilzunehmen.
